Welcome to the Hartselle High School Library Media Center.

We strive to achieve the mission of Hartselle City Schools by "inspiring and preparing ALL students for learning, leadership, and life."

Our high school library shares in the vision by empowering students to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and responsible digital citizens by providing a welcoming space for students to explore new ideas, to discover interests, and to develop skills through access to diverse resources, to collaborative learning spaces, and through meaningful opportunities.

We are open Monday - Friday  from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Books/Check-outs: Books are checked out from the library for two weeks and may be renewed for an additional two weeks. Students may check out a maximum of two books at a time. Overdue books must be returned before any more checkouts are allowed. There is a charge of .05 per day for overdue/late books. Students will be responsible for paying replacement costs for lost/damaged books.
Computers/Printing: Our library has ten desktop computers with access to the internet, a black and white printer, a color printer, and a photocopy machine. Black and white printing is .05 per page; color printing is .25 per page. Double-sided printing is considered two pages.
